Meet the person behind the camera, Baylee Eliasson.

Hi there! I am so happy you’re here. Let me introduce myself, my name is Baylee, or Bay for short. Occasionally, Pete and Buggy, but that's a story for another time. The question I am asked the most is “Why did you name your business 1948 Productions?” The short answer is that it is my grandfather's birth year. The honest answer is that it holds a lot of sentimental weight for me. That number represents visits to my grandparents’ house, family parties, and a house full of memories.

The heart and soul of my business is sentimentality. As long as I can remember, I have clung to every tangible memory offered to me. If my home were to catch on fire, my top priorities would be to make sure my partner, my cats and my photo albums were safe. Perhaps it is because I moved around a lot as a kid or because my family lives far away, making visits far and few between.

My passion for filmmaking sparked from my deep value of memory keeping. Video quickly became my preferred format for documenting memories and storytelling. This business was started with the hope of helping couples and families preserve and document their memories as well. The way I see it, memories, no matter their format, are absolutely priceless. So I take what I do very seriously and treat each memory recorded as my own.

I’d love to hear about your upcoming wedding day and vision for your film, reach out to me here to chat (:
