Meet the person behind the camera, Baylee Eliasson.

I’m Baylee, owner and lead videographer of 1948 Productions. For as long as I can remember, I’ve had a shoebox full of creased photos, faded ticket stubs and old house keys. As a teen, I became obsessed with film and documenting my adventures. Honestly, it was all for the sake of “showing my kids one day”. I care deeply about preserving memories both big and small, so I make films that help you remember yours forever.

Combining my love for keepsakes with my passion for film naturally led me to wedding videography. My style can best be described as documentary-style, although I lovingly refer to it as an ‘elevated home video’. A film you’ll rewatch every anniversary.

Your wedding isn’t a performance or a production. It shouldn’t feel like one, it should feel like a celebration! How often do you and your partner BOTH have all your favorite people in one room??!

My approach allows me to document your memories as you make them, allowing you to be present, not posed. To achieve that natural sense of sentiment and genuineness, I utilize both Super 8 and digital.

Super 8 has an innate sense of nostalgia, offering warmth, grain and a soft-focus. Being limited to three minutes per roll requires me to be thoughtful and intentional with every shot, embracing authenticity and imperfection. The emotionally rich medium feels like home, it feels like you.

Digital allows me to capture the day in its entirety, down to every speech, every dance and ensures nothing is missed. When you receive your film, you’ll have a keepsake to cherish for a lifetime and be able to share your love story with future generations.

I’d love to hear about your upcoming wedding day and vision for your film, reach out to me here to chat (:
